For Dinner...you better catch it!

I have had a hard time blogging a lot lately because I don't find myself encountering crazy circumstances like I would in Dominica, but life is good here in the Bahamas. We just absolutely love it. Life here is like living in the US except with an easy going lifestyle. Things are still definitely slower and more like a vacation, but the grocery stores are great and the fact that we can get anything we want here is really great. We may have to pay for somethings if we really want it but it is nice to know that if we want it we can get it.

I will definitely say that we are thankful for the time that we had in Dominica. It really makes us appreciate the life we have and allows us to understand that we don't deserve the things we have but should be thankful that we do have them. We would not give back that time for anything. It has made us stronger, better, and more understanding people.

We live by a canal and last weekend we spent the weekend fishing. It was so fun. We caught probably seven or so fish and ended up cooking them for dinner. It was really fun and definitely really entertaining. We love living by all of our friends because we always have people around to hang out with and are always entertaining. For the last few weeks every Sunday we have like a pot luck dinner and everyone brings something to dinner. It has been a lot of fun.

From the JUNGLE to PARADISE

We made it to the Bahamas and all i can say is I will be on vacation for the next 8 months. This place is awesome. It is beautiful and and very Americanized. Before we got here we made a pit stop in Miami for the National Championship game. Although the outcome wasn't what we had hoped for it was still very fun and we really enjoyed it. We had endzone seats which sounds bad but they were really good seats. We were in the middle of the endzone and you could definitely see the whole field. We had a good time. The weather was really nice and we actually got pretty cold by about half time. Besides the Sooners it was a lot of fun. We stayed the night in Miami at Ashley and Ryans place. I was sad because I didn't get to see Ashley because she was still in Tennessee, but Ryan had already moved there to start studying for the Comp. They have a really great place, which was fairly close to where we lived before. It was fun to go back and see where we used to live.

The Bahamas have been amazing. There are great restaurants, the people are so nice, and it is very Americanized. We absolutely love our new apartment. It is bigger than our apartment before and everyone lives here so it is fun to have neighbors that we know. Our whole apartment complex is made up of Ross students. Since we have been here we have gone to the grocery store, the Cosco, and have just been trying to get situated. Yes they have a Cosco! It is amazing. It is actually called Cost Right but it is just like a Cosco or a Sams. It is awesome!
